Selling jewellery at markets — the first-sales playbook
Markets are jewellery's friendliest classroom — real customers, real objections, real cash.
Markets are the best first-sales channel: low risk, instant feedback,
real customers.
The booth logic — display at THREE heights (eye, chest, table);
biggest hero pieces highest; price tags ON everything (unpriced = passed);
one clear brand sign.
The display rules — necklaces on busts or risers (show the drape);
earrings on cards in grids (pairs visible); mirrors angled toward
customers. Photograph your booth and cull what reads badly
(photo discipline).
The conversations — open with a question, not a pitch ("do you prefer
gold or silver?"); tell technique stories briefly ("hand-knotted — four
hours"); invite trying-on; respect the browsers who buy nothing — they
are next market's buyers.
The setup — card + QR payments both; a notebook for custom orders;
packing that survives the day. The business course turns market
lessons into a model; the 2-minute finder locates your starting
course.
