Boho jewellery — the layers and materials that make it work
Layered, natural, slightly imperfect — and still engineered to survive.
Boho reads casual and is engineered seriously — the style only works if
the construction does not.
The material palette — natural stones (turquoise-adjacent colours),
wood, leather (stringing notes),
feathers, fibre and tassels, mixed base metals.
The layering logic — odd numbers (3 necklaces, 5-7 bracelets);
varied lengths (the chart); one anchor piece
per zone; texture contrast rather than colour shouting.
The professional line — boho ≠ fragile. Sliding knots must hold,
wraps must be tight, ends must be capped. The market punishes
craft-fair construction at boutique prices.
Design note — boho is the natural home of fabric and fibre
techniques; the essentials course covers the material mixing.
