Tassel jewellery — the boho workhorse, done properly

A well-bound tassel is 40 straight minutes of patience and looks like a minute.

Every market stall and boutique shelf has tassels. The good ones share
construction discipline.

Thread choice — silk or rayon for drape and sheen; cotton for matte
craft looks. Density decides luxury: full combed tassels vs sparse
market ones.

The bind — gather, wrap the neck tightly (thread, wire or cord),
glue the bind, then CAP it: bead caps, coil wraps or metal cones turn a
craft object into jewellery. The cap is where the professionalism lives.

Length and placement — earrings carry 3-5cm tassels; necklaces
6-12cm; the longer the tassel the more the swing (and the stronger the
connector must be — wrapped loops).

Care note — tassels travel badly; tell buyers to hang them. Mesh
bags rescue holidays.
